Who are these guys?
Phoebe Allbright and Jonathan Lockwood moved to Santa Fe in 1952. Educated as architects in England and France, they fled to New York to escape the European fascists in the 40's. As part of the Village scene they became fast friends with Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz who encouraged them to visit New Mexico. Once here, they fell in love with the soft swell of adobe architecture, and the delicious landscape. And, as architects, they wanted to provide access to European decorative hardware and unique lighting, so they purchased a little adobe building on Old Santa Fe Trail...
OK - just kidding. We've only been around 25 years.
And we were started by an English architect with an idea - to provide access to a greater variety of products and solutions for the Santa Fe design community.
Our stuff is art itself.
Some of the light fixtures and handmade hardware look like they should be in an art gallery - impeccable workmanship and modern refinement, huge personality and rich history, distinctive details like hand polished edges. When you put those kinds of pieces in a home it really sings. Who knew that ceiling fans could look so sexy?
Our staff are amazing.
Our staff are extraordinary people who are smart, creative and honest. We truly like the clientele we serve - designers, contractors, architects and their clients. We’re great at sitting down and helping people design rooms that make their homes special places to live. We love the challenge.
So, yes, we’d welcome you in our showroom, and if you can't make it in we’re just a phone call or email away.
